North Country Trail: Michigan LP & NW Ohio

Venture through the Manistee National Forest, where sandy soils birth a lush pine-hardwood forest, and marvel at the stunning Pere Marquette and Manistee Rivers. In West Michigan, the Trail snakes through public lands, city and county parks, and follows various pathways like the White Pine Trail. Southern Michigan showcases a beautiful blend of forest and farmland, with many charming lakes scattered throughout. As the Trail crosses into Ohio, it joins the historic Wabash Cannonball Trail, cutting through Maumee State Forest and the Oak Openings Preserve Metropark.
