Railton to Sheffield Rail Trail

14km, One Way, Flat, Rough unsealed surface

This rail trail traverses a variety of landscapes and the backdrop views of Mount Roland as you get closer to Sheffield are quite stunning. If you take it easy this is a great little ride or hike between two very quaint, historic towns.

The trail mainly follows part of the route of the former branch line from Railton to Roland, which operated between 1914 and 1957. There is a road section at the Railton end.

If you are riding, it is a rough trail in parts and suited to a hybrid or mountain bike.
