Don to Devonport Cycleway

14km One way, Flat, Sealed Path,  Quiet road optional

Devonport is where the Spirit of Tasmania docks when it comes in from Melbourne. This trail is a great introduction before touring Tasmania.  This a beautiful trail that takes you through some of the nicest parts of Devonport. It  sweeps along the edge of Bass Strait, follows the banks of the Mersey and Don rivers and travels through areas of bushland before reaching the centre of Devonport City. Much of the trail follows the working freight rail line to Burnie and the Don River tourist railway. Part also follows the route of a former tramway.
