Northern Forest Canoe Trail

Official app of the Northern Forest Canoe Trail. The Northern Forest Canoe Trail is a 700-mile water trail that connects Old Forge, New York to Fort Kent, Maine. The trail follows traditional travel routes used by Native Americans, settlers and guides. The longest inland water trail in the nation,

the trail includes 23 rivers and streams, 59 lakes and ponds, and 65 portages. A through paddler will journey through a diversity of landscapes -- small ponds, wilderness lakes, quiet wetlands, whitewater rivers, working forestlands, and New England villages.
