Central West Cycle Trail

400 km, Loop, Hilly, Medium, Unsealed/Sealed, Paths/Quiet roads,

The Central West Cycle Trail makes its way through the rolling landscape of woodlands and wheatlands of the Central West of NSW, the land of the indigenous Wiradjuri nation. Cornerstones of the trail include Mudgee, Gulgong, Dunedoo, Mendooran, Ballimore, Geurie, Wellington and Goolma. It a well planned route on quiet roads, threading through the olde worlde towns of the gold rush era. There are lots of cellar doors, shady roads, rivers to follow, wildlife and farm animals. Take time to get out at night and explore the stars of the night sky. Check the goannas hanging in the trees!

This ride is easily accessed by car from Sydney or by XPT trail with your bike-in-a-box. The route traditionally starts in Mudgee, but can be joined anywhere along the trail. There are lots of accommodation options and heaps of friendly locals. This is a cycle tour through regional NSW that is must do.
